December 15th - 10:30 pm
Contractions start coming every 4 - 6 minutes

11:30 pm
We called Dr. Hodge, he said wait 1 more hour & if they continue, go to the hospital!
Since they were continuing, I took a shower & got all made up for my upcoming
hospital stay!!  I couldn't let my baby see me all ugly!

December 16th - 1:00 am
We leave home & head to Troy Beaumont Hospital
(very excited!!)

 

2:30 am
Ron & I are told that we are in labor!! 
We are now taken to the delivery room!  For the next 2 hours, I'm poked
a million times - getting my IV & Epidural! (no fun, I'm not happy!!)
 

5:00 am
My parents & Tommy arrive (yipee!!)
   
 

1:30 pm
I'm dilated to 10 & start to push  (boo & ouch)

 

3:00 pm
Still pushing - not making much progress.  Dr. Steenken determines that baby
is posterior (face up) & seems to be stuck (boo & ouch again!!)
 

3:15 pm
C-Section (way less pain than pushing)
 

3:28 pm
Gavin is born
   

4:00 pm
Recovery!
I finally get to hold my baby!!
   

6:00 pm
Gavin gets to meet all of his Grandparents & Uncle Tommy!
(very emotional & exciting!)
 

Over the next 3 days, we had lots of visitors!  It was lots of fun!

December 19th - Time to go home!!
